This 4-Week Online Masterclass will equip the professional actor with cutting-edge skills and techniques for self-taping and auditioning. Here’s how it works:

Across four consecutive weeks, you receive a sequence of exclusive, pre-recorded tutorials from Les Chantery (LC) that teach the core frameworks. Then, you join LC live for two hours each week for coaching, tape review, and personalized adjustments.

Each week, you’ll receive a short script to self-tape and upload to the private LCS Dropbox.

Before class, LC will personally watch your tape.

During class, you’ll receive tailored feedback on your self-tape, plus each week, LC introduces a new, cutting-edge acting tool to work with.

Over the month, you’ll build momentum by putting down a new tape every week, sharpening your technique, and layering in new tools to keep your self-tapes bold and dynamic.

Private lessons and tutorials from Les Chantery are delivered weekly: screen acting tools and techniques developed at the studio. These are pre-recorded, and you can watch at your most convenient time ahead of the weekly LIVE session. These modules are ESSENTIAL viewing before each week’s LIVE session as they cover the core fundamental concepts Les teaches when coaching actors in his studio.

Eight hours of live online coaching with Les Chantery: four live classes take place across four weeks; two hours each, with individual feedback on your uploaded self-tapes. Each of these LIVE sessions elaborates on, expands, and goes further into the concepts you watched during the week. Les will also do activities with you to solidify the concepts.
Scripts, checklists, and summary notes: every week, you will receive a new script to self-tape, allowing you to implement the personalised feedback provided by Les Chantery, as well as a new weekly acting/self-tape tool to elevate your tapes. These scripts are allocated to you specifically from Les and are selected with a specific focus point for you. Each actor receives a different script based on their unique and targeted areas of development.
Graduate access: the extremely popular Ongoing Series is offered exclusively to graduates of the Masterclass. This is a coveted invite to continue working with Les Chantery. The Ongoing classes build on the concepts covered in THE DANGEROUS TAPE Masterclass. Each week a new acting tool is shared and new scripts are allocated. The sessions and feedback are highly bespoke. These classes are extremely popular and often booked months in advance. Once you have completed THE DANGEROUS TAPE Masterclass, you are eligible to apply for the monthly Ongoing classes.

ABOUT LES CHANTERY

Les Chantery trained as an actor and now teaches at NIDA, Australia’s prestigious and highly competitive National Institute of Dramatic Art (alumni include Cate Blanchett, Baz Luhrmann, and Sarah Snook). His books on screen auditions The Dangerous Actor and Life In A Mid-Shot are #1 Amazon best-sellers!

Les Chantery holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)-Acting from NIDA. Combining his economics degree with two decades of acting experience, Chantery has developed a pioneering new approach to screen acting, helping actors in high-stake auditions deliver hard-hitting, game-changing performances.

Les first got his start in acting opposite Vin Diesel in the cult classic sci-fi hit Pitch Black (2000). Since then he has worked with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Nicole Kidman among many others.
